Since long time ago men and women from have always admired nature, even
though nowadays the intensity of a city lifestyle make it hard for us to appreciate it.
But these landscapes and now cityscapes remain serene waiting for someone who can be captivated by their beauty.
And that’s my case. I have given up to the beauty of life… that space that
sometimes might just be found around the corner and that forces me to stay aware
and moving around with my eyes wide open in order to capture every detail an
every single instant of my day.
It would be very bold to say that my paintings emulate the color of the world, since
this goes way beyond anything mankind could possibly comprehend. No. My art is
just a humble tribute to the superb spectacle of life.
It is worth mentioning that my paintings are the resuly of visual elements combined
with emotional facts. This means that I take pieces of my overall environment and
synthesize them, depending on the feeling they created in me.
I recreate atmospheres which I hope will thrill the spectator and make them wish,
just for one minute, to be in there.
On the “Museums Day” celebrated this March18, the Estado de Mexico Watercolor Museum welcomes the exhibit of Master Tere Lojero. Graduated in architecture, she has been devoted to watercolor for the last two decades. She has a great color and transparency, promoting a genuine expression of Mexico. Her paintings worked wet on wet have a very subtle atmosphere and there is a trend to synthesize her subjects with great freshness and spontaneity.
Estado de Mexico Watercolor Museum Director
The painting of Tere Lojero expresses a mature process with great plastic quality. Her paintings are made with love and a winning balance of colors that lend a human warmth and freshness to her scenes.
Victoria Pareja
Morelos Watercolor Association Vice-President
Tere Lojero emerges from her inner, fragile and sensitive poetical side. Color fades away, merges into one and is interrupted by dark and brief calligraphic accents that complement the compositional structure of her paintings.
